Philips TV (2023)

During my 6-month internship at Philips TV, I worked on a concept for a new way of using monitors

Many people living in flats are faced with the challenge of maximising the use of their space while respecting budgetary constraints. The idea of having a single screen capable of adapting to various functions such as work, TV entertainment or simply use as a tablet represents a solution to these constraints.
This project aims to simplify people's lives by offering them the possibility of having a single screen that can be adapted to meet their various needs. By eliminating the need to invest in several expensive devices and optimising the space available, this concept is positioned as a practical solution for making technology more accessible and functional in our modern lifestyles.

AMBILIGHT

Each stand incorporates a lighting system, enabling Philips Ambilight technology to create an immersive visual experience. The lighting can also be used independently, transforming the stand into a self-contained light source.
Flexibility

The central idea is a Philips screen equipped with magnets to attach to different interchangeable stands. These include a small stand for use as a monitor or small TV, a large stand for a standard TV experience, and a wall mount for viewing in the bedroom.

The whole system is controllable via a phone app, with two separate sections for managing the TV and lighting functions. These interconnected legs form a fluid ecosystem for a complete user experience.
